Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is an oil-soluble vitamin C derivative.
Vitamin C as a cosmetic ingredient has many functions, including skin lightening, promoting collagen synthesis and inhibiting lipid peroxidation.
However, vitamin C is easily oxidized and discolored, so it is difficult to use in cosmetics. Therefore, people have developed more stable derivatives. Vitamin C ethyl ether, vitamin C phosphate magnesium, vitamin C phosphate sodium and other water-soluble VC derivatives.
Oil-soluble vitamin C derivatives can be used ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate. It is stable at high temperatures and has good solubility in oil.
Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate shows excellent transdermal absorption and is broken down into free vitamin C in the skin to achieve physiological functions. Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate can be widely used in various skin care, beauty and other cosmetics.
Product Function
1 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate has excellent transdermal absorption
2 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate can inhibit intracellular tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis
3 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate can reduce UV-induced cell/DNA damage
4 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate can prevent lipid peroxidation and skin aging
5 Good solubility of ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate in common cosmetic oils
6 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate has SOD-like activity
7 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is stable to heat and oxidation
8 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate discolors very little
9 Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate has cell regeneration effect
Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is a vitamin C derivative that is more stable than its precursor. However, under certain conditions, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate may change color. Please be as careful when handling vitamin C as when handling vitamin C.
1. The pH range cannot be higher than 6.0 during the designed preparation process.
2. It is recommended to use a chelating agent in the formulation because it is effective in preventing discoloration.
3. Because contact with water may cause oxidation of ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, add a long-chain polyoxyethylene surfactant to stabilize the system and strengthen the interface film.
4. Avoid prolonged heating.
